ABB honoured as Top 10 Employer in China university student survey

ABB once again recognized for its people-centric business concepts

Beijing, August 7, 2009 –ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has been ranked among the top 10 Employers in the Energy, Electric and Chemical Industries by the China University Student Best Employer Survey conducted at the end of this July. According to the results of the survey, administered by ChinaHR.com, a leading recruitment portal, ABB China is one of the most popular employers among Chinese university students.

Launched by ChinaHR.com in 2002, the “China University Student Best Employer Survey” has been held seven consecutive years. The Employment Guidance Center of Tsing-Hua University was a partner for this year’s event. The survey covered the entire country, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, with 210, 000 students from 629 universities voting for over 3,800 local and foreign enterprises nationwide, representing all industry sectors. ABB has been touted as a top employer in a number of national surveys in recent years. In 2003, the company was rated among the top 10 “Super Employers – the Best Companies to Work for in China” in a survey co-sponsored by Fortune Magazine, and sohu.com. ABB was also ranked as the most popular employer by university students in 2005 during a survey conducted by 51.com, a leading recruitment portal.
